Bangkok is the capital and primary City of Thailand, beautifully located on the banks of Chao Phraya River near the Gulf of Thailand . It is well connected globally by all major international airlines through its newest Suwarnabhumi International Airport . The Bangkok City is forty-five minutes by taxi from Suwannaphumi International Airport . The city's wealth of cultural sites makes it one of the world's most popular tourist destinations. Bangkok 's weather is hot and humid year round with temperatures ranging from 26 to 31 degrees C (78 - 90 degrees F)

 
 
 

The City of Bangkok is very well connected by road, rail and airlines with the rest of Thailand . The city would be an excellent base for visiting other tourist destinations such as the famous Pattaya beach, Phuket island-Pearl of the Andaman Sea , and Chiang Mai-the ancient city of northern Thailand among others.

A valid passport is required for entry into Thailand . For countries having no diplomatic relations with Thailand , an entry visa can be obtained from nearby countries where Thai Embassies are located, or from the consulate if there is one. Bank and Currency
Bank opening hours in Bangkok are 9:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. Currency exchange outside banking hours is possible at a number of locations and hotels. Credit cards are widely accepted at all major hotels and most restaurants and shops.

The basic monetary unit in Thailand is the Baht. A baht is divided into 100 satang. There are notes for 20, 50, 100, 500 and 1000 baht. There are coins for 25 and 50 satang and also 1,2, 5 and 10 baht.
 
Electricity

Electricity is supplied at 220v. 50 cycles throughout the country.
